Activity:
Reference: MRC-WHO 2nd FSH, int. St. 78/549 or equivalent.
hFSHi: Approx. 4,500 IU/mg of protein.
hFSHs: 400,000-500,000 mIU/ml of solution. Contaminants: hGH, hLH, hPRL, hTSH: non detectable.
Storage:
hFSHi: 4°C or lower temperature.
hFSHs: -20°C or lower temperature.
Scientific note:
FSH produced and secreted by the anterior part of pituitary gland, has the role of stimulating the growth and maturation of tha ovarian follicles in women and the testes to produce sperm in men.
