AFFILAND TECHNOLOGY
FOR
PROTEOMIC RESEARCH
The term PROTEOMIC was first created by Wilkins in 1994 as the protein complements of the genome.
Proteomics concern the analysis of all proteins involved in complex intracellular pathways, organelles, cells, tissues, organes and organisms that can be studied to discover new biological processes or to collect data about the biological system.
The task requires different technics such as protein identification, characterisation, quantification and protein interactions. It is challenging since transcriptional and post translational modification of proteins are numerous in a determined cell type.
