- Stability in solution: hPL in the buffer A (concentration: 10mghPL/ml) is stable at room temperature for 15 days { Buffer A: PBS 0.2M, glycerol 10% (v/v) pH 7.4, NaN3 0.5% + BSA 0.2%, neomycin 200mg/l, PMSF 1mg/l, trasylol (Bayer) 100,000 IU/l }.
Assay: Fast RIA with goat g-globulin anti hPL bound to a solid phase (incubation time: 30 minutes).
Biological properties: hPL acts as a potent lactogen and as a very weak somatogen.
