The human and animal proteomes are area of large scientific interest for identifying desease biomarkers. Their proteomic approach is challenging because most of proteins of interest to be diagnosed are present at very low concentration in specialized cell types and biological fluids.
Serum albumin and immunoglobulin G represent respectively approx. 60% and 15% (w/w) of total serum proteins. These proteins complicate the electrophoretic patterns obtained for cellular protein extracts and/or biological fluids.
Affiland has developed double immunoaffinty columns for depleting BOTH serum albumin & immunoglobulin G from cellular extracts of different animal species.

Ligand: Monospecific to BOTH albumin and IgG from different animal species.
Attachment: at Fc portion of IgG.
Immobilized ligand: 1,000 µg of Monospecific Rb IgG per ml of resin.
Affinity resin volume: 1 ml of wet resin/column.
Binding capacity in albumin: approx. 0.5 mg for all animal species;
Binding capacity in IgG: > 1 mg for human, mouse, rabbit... and approx. 0.5 mg for bovine, sheep, horse...
Storage: 4°C, suspension in PBS buffer, pH 7.4, in the presence of NaN3 0.1% (w/v).
